Some mail you open standing at the mailbox, and some mail changes the temperature of the whole day. This is the second kind.
Letter by Tay is a subscription letter service. Once a month, a letter from me arrives at your door, written by hand and from the heart, the way letters used to be written when somebody meant it. Not a newsletter. Not a lesson. A letter, from Auntie Tay, to you.
I am not writing as an expert, and I am not writing from above your pain. I am a broken mama who understands your grief, writing across from the same floor. Every letter carries a personal prayer and blessing written for the ones who receive it, because nobody in this house gets prayed for in general. You get prayed for by name and by need, the way the praying mamas taught me to pray.
It begins with the box. The first delivery is the full Letter by Tay box, deep burgundy and gold, holding your first letter and the pieces that start the journey. After that, the year unfolds in letters, one each month, sometimes with one small gift tucked in. Paid once for the box; the letters carry the year.
A little meaning behind your box. Created slowly, prayerfully, and with intention. Nothing here was chosen by accident.
If you are grieving, or tired, or holding yourself together with both hands, these letters are written for your kitchen table. Read them with tea. Keep them. They are yours to carry through your life.
And you can write to this house. Send us your testimony, broken and all, every piece of it. Mamas all over the world belong to this circle, women who have worn out carpets of their own, and one of them, if not Auntie Tay herself, will write you back a prayer. Your story will be received by hands that know what it cost you to tell it.
We will all pray for you.
The first letters are being prepared now. When the doors open, they will open here.
