Many of us first heard Pastor Thomas preach at CLA in Maple Ridge, where his sermon on Jeremiah 32 asked what it means to buy the field anyway, to invest in God’s promise while the field still looks like a loss. That sermon planted the seed for Tay’s article Buy the Field Anyway, shared here with his blessing. He leads Eleviva, a Canadian ministry growing great leaders and planting life giving churches across Europe.

In His Own Words
As I reflect on what God is doing through Eleviva, our heart is filled with gratitude and expectation. We continue to see God open doors across Europe, allowing us to come alongside national churches and leaders who carry a deep passion to see their communities and nations transformed by the Gospel.
Through Eleviva, we have the privilege of investing in emerging and established leaders, strengthening local churches, helping establish new faith communities, and bringing hope and practical care to people in places of tremendous need. Whether it is seeing leaders equipped and encouraged, new churches taking root, or lives being impacted through our Life Centres, we are continually reminded that this is God’s work—and we simply have the privilege of joining Him in it.
One of the things that encourages us the most is knowing that we do not do this alone. Behind every trip, every gathering, every leader we invest in, and every person whose life is touched stands a community of faithful partners who believe in the mission of Eleviva.
Your generosity enables us to go, but your partnership is about so much more than financial support. Your prayers strengthen us. Your encouragement sustains us. Your faith in this mission helps make the work possible. Every testimony and every life changed is fruit that we share together.
Paul’s words in Philippians 1:3–5 express so well what is in my heart:
“I thank my God every time I remember you… because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now.”
We are incredibly grateful for every person, church, and partner who stands with Eleviva. Thank you for believing with us that God is still building His Church, raising up leaders, transforming communities, and bringing hope to nations.
There is still much to be done, and we believe some of our most fruitful days are ahead of us. Together, we will continue to follow where God leads, invest where He is moving, and believe for lasting Kingdom impact throughout Europe.
