Sharing Jesus, Safely

GOOD NEWS, OFFERED WITH WISDOM

You do not need a microphone to be an evangelist. You need a willing heart, something kind in your hands, and the sense God gave you about where you stand while you offer it. Some of the sweetest Gospel conversations begin with a tray of cookies and one unhurried question. This page is about doing that work well, and doing it safely, so you can keep doing it for years.

A tray of cookies, a wise pair of feet

Here is the pattern, and it is a good one. Bake. Wrap. Then choose your ground with care: a busy market table, a school door at pickup time, a hospital lobby bench, a community event with people all around. Share Jesus where life is already happening, where help is within earshot and friendly eyes are everywhere. Love is brave, and love is also wise. Both things honour Him.

Safe steps, every time

1. Go where the people are. Public, populated, ordinary places: markets, fairs, church steps, busy sidewalks, community halls. If a place feels deserted, it is not today’s assignment.

2. Stay where help can hear you. Choose spots near staff, security, front desks, or crowds. Never follow a conversation into an isolated place, a parking lot corner, or a stranger’s car or home.

3. Tell someone where you will be. A friend, a pastor, a family member. Say where, and say when you will be home.

4. Take a friend when you can. Jesus sent His friends out in pairs for good reason. Two smiles open more doors, and two sets of eyes keep watch.

5. Keep it daylight, or well lit and busy. Evenings belong to organised events with a team around you.

6. Trust the nudge. If something in you says move on, move on, kindly and at once. The Holy Spirit’s cautions are part of His leading, not a failure of your faith.

7. Guard your own details. Share your first name and your church gladly. Your home address and personal number stay yours.

What to put in their hands

· A verse card small enough for a wallet, with one Scripture and one warm line.

· The Bible Emergency Numbers, below. The most kept handout of all. People tuck it into a purse and find it at 2 AM.

· An invitation card to your church, or to our Prayer page, where a real person will pray for them by name.

· Something baked, wrapped, and labelled. An honest ingredient card respects allergies and builds trust. Kindness that can be checked is kindness that gets eaten.

· A small Gospel booklet you have read yourself and trust. Never hand out what you have not read.

Starting, and closing, a conversation

Open small and warm: I baked too many, would you like one? Let people be people before they are a project. Ask one real question and listen more than you speak. When the moment ripens, offer the truest sentence you own: Jesus changed my life, and He loves you. Close with an open door, never pressure: If you ever want prayer, this card tells you where to find us. Then let the seed do what seeds do.

A prayer before you go

Lord, give me eyes for the one person You have ready today. Put Your words in my mouth and Your wisdom in my feet. Keep me glad, keep me safe, and let somebody taste and see that You are good. Amen.
