Matt Redman
WORSHIP
Matt Redman is a songwriter whose songs hold praise and pain in the same hand, blessing His name in plenty and in the desert.
He wrote “Blessed Be Your Name” with his wife Beth, and it was honoured as Worship Song of the Year. It remains the song many of us reach for when the road is hard and the heart still chooses hope.
“Blessed Be Your Name”
From Where Angels Fear to Tread, 2002
THE VERSE BEHIND THE SONG
“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”
