Learning what safe love actually feels like, because for many of us, no one ever taught us.

How this week works: A bit each day. Seven short daily readings, one for each day, that walk one theme from beginning to end. Each day ends in prayer. By Day 7 the week comes full circle. Go at your own pace. There is no falling behind.

Anchor Scriptures this week: John 13:34; 1 Corinthians 13:4; Proverbs 4:23; Psalm 147:3; 1 John 4:18; 1 Corinthians 13:4, 7.

Last week we opened the door to safe people. This week we learn what safe love actually feels like, because for many of us, no one ever taught us.

If your earliest experiences of love were inconsistent, chaotic, conditional, or unsafe, then your body learned that love equals danger. Now, as an adult, love may feel intense, overwhelming, confusing, or like a test you can fail. You may have learned to mistake the storm for passion and the calm for something wrong.

A gentle heads-up from my heart to yours. We will touch the places where love hurt you, including old patterns and unhealthy relationships. Some days may feel tender. Go at your own pace. You have full permission to linger on one day for a whole week, to skip a day entirely, or to put this down and come back when you are ready. There is no falling behind here.

Each reading takes about two minutes and every day ends in prayer. You are held all the way through.

Tap a day to open its reading. When you finish a day, tap the small circle on its box and the box turns teal, so you can always see where you left off. This page remembers on this device.

A Blessing to Close the Week

You stayed for seven days. You looked at the old patterns and the storms you once called love, and you are learning to tell the difference. That is a quiet kind of courage.

Let this closing feel like a Sunday morning. Unhurried. No performing, no rushing ahead into the week. Put the kettle on, sit by the window, and let everything settle the way dust settles in a sunbeam.

Carry one sentence into your rest: healthy love is a home, not a high. Hum it under your breath the way you would hum an old hymn. Let it grow familiar.

The next time calm feels strange, remember this week. Your body is learning a new language. Give it time. The home is real, and you are worthy of living in it.

If a day ever feels too heavy to hold alone, tell someone you trust. Ask for a gentle ear. Ask for an honest conversation. Ask for prayer. Let someone sit with you in it. Needing people is not weakness. It is how we were made to heal, together.

If you need someone to pray with you, someone who will listen all the way through, our prayer outreach team is here for you.

Rest today. You are worthy of a love that feels like home, because He says you are. He is here in the quiet with you.
